Message	All of these testers vary by a slight amount, so the readings get you in the ballpark. To truly understand the health of the engine, the most important attributes are the differences between cylinders and the change across time. Obviously the inter-cylinder differences can be determined with a rented tester but changes over time cannot (imho) be accurately judged without using the same gauge (or at least one that is essentially of the same calibration).
